Dr. Zeno L. Charles-Marcel was born in Trinidad and Tobago and accompanied his parents to the US at the age of 13. He completed his medical degree from Howard University in 1980. He is an Internal Medicine specialist with added qualification in Geriatric Medicine. His professional activities have ranged from preventive medicine to critical care practice as well as medical/hospital administration, community health, medical education, medical research, and health education for the public in person and through media. His research and academic interests are in the areas of Nutrition, Lifestyle Medicine, Metabolic Syndrome, and Seventh-day Adventist health practices. Dr. Charles-Marcel and his family served in México as a medical missionary and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Executive Director of the “La Carlota” Adventist Mission Hospital. He also served as Vice-President for Medical Affairs at Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Health and Healing. Dr. Zeno also holds academic appointments at both Montemorelos and Loma Linda universities. He is presently the Associate Director of the Adventist Health Ministries of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists worldwide. He and his three sons are adorned by the flower of their lives, his wife, Anita.

Dave Fiedler, an educator, spent twenty years teaching in Adventist schools and colleges, sharing his love for common sense and history. Since 2008 he has been seeking to learn how to combine practical ministry and evangelistic outreach that will take the gospel to the large cities of the world. Dave has written three books:

1. Hindsight: SDA history in Essays and Extracts (lessons learned from Adventist history)
2. d’SOZO: Reversing the worst evil (the unrecognized history of the medical missionary work and its irreplaceable role in the final work)
3. Tremble: The counterfeit spirituality of Satan’s final deception

He also served as the primary spokesman for Adventist City Missions which deals mostly with gospel medical missionary evangelism. He currently lives in British Columbia with his wife Clarissa.

Dr. John Torquato, MD, received his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He is director at Total Health Spokane and is a Board Certified Family Practice physician. He currently runs a small no-cost clinic that treats chronic, lifestyle related diseases and also runs free monthly community blood pressure clinics. His free clinic has been highly successful in turning around even severe disease in many patients with chronic illness by helping them make long-term lifestyle changes. Dr. Torquato is passionate about teaching and giving of his time towards people who wish to optimize their health regardless of their economic situation. He attributes his desire to serve his community to his deep faith

Dr. Samuel George Hansdak, MD, Dip IBLM, is presently working as a teaching faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He is a graduate and postgraduate from All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. In 2009 he visited various lifestyle centers in North America including Loma Linda, PMRI, Tuft’s University, Weimar, Wildwood, Uchee Pines and Hartland to understand better the principles and practice of Lifestyle Medicine.

After his return, he formed a Lifestyle Medicine team at CMC in collaboration with the Department of Dietary, Physiotherapy, Medical Sociology, Psychiatry, Hospital Chaplaincy, Community Health, Physiology, Dermatology and Internal Medicine. The Lifestyle Medicine department runs a Wellness Clinic in the hospital campus and a Diabetic lifestyle outreach clinic in Chittoor campus. It also provides training to the undergraduates and post-graduates of medical, nursing and allied health science students. The students and faculties are also involved in conducting scientific research in the role of lifestyle medicine in various diseases. They are also involved in training the general practitioners and family physicians in the principles and practices of lifestyle medicine through distance education. The team is currently developing a School Health model of training teachers as health coaches in schools. He is also a pioneering and founding member in the formation of the Asian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

Dr. Edward Dunn, PhD, MPH, is coordinator for Community Health, Assistant to the President at SUD. He is from Canada and has a Masters and PhD degree in Public Health. He has worked in several countries around the world helping people with their Spiritual and Physical healing. Edward is also a Narrator/Presenters in a 18 part health series called Native New Health, (www.NativeNewHealth.ca) which addresses important health issues for Native American people.

Dr. Herb Giebel is currently working in the Lifestyle Medicine & Wellness Care unit of the Department of Medicine at the Christian Medical College in Vellore, India. Here he is involved with clinical service, research, and training. He has a special interest in whole-person care and using a lifestyle-focused approach not only in prevention but also for disease treatment and reversal in the acute care setting. He believes the greatest success in reversing the epidemic of lifestyle diseases will come when the individual, the community, industry, and government all take responsibility for health-promoting change and when the principles of lifestyle medicine permeate medical education. Before coming to India he worked in Nigeria with his family for 16 years as a clinician, director of a family medicine residency, and was part of a lifestyle medicine unit which was integrated with the in-patient services as well as having out-patient services. Dr. Giebel earned his M.D. degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, an M.S. in epidemiology from Wake Forest University, an M.P.H. in health policy & administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine, Family Medicine, & Preventive Medicine.

Ronald Robin, DMD, is a graduate from the Adventist University of the Philippines from the Doctor of Dental Medicine program. He has also been an international speaker in Indonesia, the Philippines and the UAE.

He is devoted student of the Bible and a gifted speaker who shares insights from his in-depth study of the Bible. He is based in New Delhi. He considers it an honor to now be working in full time evangelistic ministry with the Northern India Union and White Horse Ministries.

Jesin Israel was ordained to Gospel ministry in 2001 and is currently serving as the director of E. G. White Research Centre at Spicer Adventist University, Pune, India. He also teaches in the department of Religion at Spicer. He is married to Lavanya and they are blessed with two children, Delight (23 yrs) and Elijah (16 yrs).
